Frequently asked questions

Is my data safe and stored in Canada?
Yes. All Service data is hosted in Canada (OVH Canada), in compliance with Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.
How does the free trial work?
You start with 7 days of full access, no credit card required. At the end of the trial, you choose your plan or you stop. No surprises.
Can my clients book appointments online?
Yes, starting with the Solo plan. You get a personalized public page (clairgest.ca/yoursalon) where your clients book directly based on your availability.
Does it work on my iPad / tablet?
Yes. Clairgest is designed tablet-first (11" minimum). Works on desktop too.
Can I migrate my data from another software?
Yes. During onboarding, we help you import your clients, appointments, and history from Excel, Google Calendar, or most other systems.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You keep access to your data for 30 days after cancellation (read-only mode for export). Beyond that, deletion follows our privacy policy.
How much do SMS reminders cost?
Included in the Solo, Pro, and Salon plans. Email reminders are included in all plans.
Is there French-language support?
Yes — and English support too. Our team responds in either language Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time.
I'm not registered for GST/QST. Does Clairgest adapt?
Yes. All plans include a "My business is registered for GST/QST" toggle (off by default for the Simple plan). Your prices show net, with no tax calculation on receipts. When you officially register, you simply turn the toggle on in settings.
What's the difference between the internal calendar and the public booking page?
The internal calendar (included in all plans) is your private dashboard for managing your own appointments. The public booking page (from the Solo plan) is a personalized web page where your clients book themselves online 24/7 (clairgest.ca/yoursalon).
